Merry Christmas from Heavyweight

Well… what a year it has been. Completely unparalleled to any year we – Heavyweight and our clients – have ever seen. It’s been tough both personally and professionally but it’s been pretty inspiring to see people come together and support one another. We are hugely grateful to all of our partners and clients!

It’s been fascinating to see how businesses have pivoted during the pandemic. We have seen so many businesses come online for the first time and execute ambitious plans over a very short period. The rise of e-commerce has been huge and is set to grow and the response to the pandemic is really testament to the possibilities open to us through 2021 and beyond. We’re proud to support so many of those businesses through what was a worrying time for business and through our data analytics consultancy we’ve been able to help these businesses get off to a great start.

Aside from supporting all of our clients, Heavyweight have some personal highlights from the year:

  • we have moved to our new office space near Farrington and Kings Cross – a great new collaboration space for our team (once the pandemic is over!);
  • we have expanded the team and welcomed Nadezda – our fabulous front-end developer; and
  • we have raised over £2000 for Macmillan Cancer Support through a ‘ten for ten’ challenge – we asked people to walk or run 10km and donate £10. It not only raised a lot of money for such an important cause (one close to the heart of Heavyweight) but also got people off their sofas, away from their screens and outside in the fresh (very fresh considering it was December) air. We know that people’s wellbeing and mental health has been on a decline since March and we like to think that this campaign was able to support people who might have been struggling.

So what’s in store next year? Well, it’s certainly set to be an interesting one. We are looking forward to expanding the team further, welcoming more amazing clients into the Heavyweight community and help them grow through the power of digital.

From us at Heavyweight, we want to wish everyone a very merry Christmas period and a Happy New Year.

Keep safe and let’s hope for a “more normal” 2021.
